The pandemic reignited my passion to draw and paint with purpose which resulted in me setting up a small studio to access daily. I liken the painting process to putting together the hardest jigsaw puzzle-sometimes the image isn’t quite complete but through constant problem-solving and problem-finding, a whole can be achieved.
I have gone through a period of painting numerous dogs and flowers and am continuing this journey alongside my paintings of the human form, landscapes and large canvases of Lincoln Cathedral.
My aim is to evoke an emotional response from the viewer, especially through my use of colour. I consider myself a ‘traditionalist’ who avoids the use of technology and AI to achieve this goal. AI can’t create the art I both produce and admire.
I hope to exhibit my work soon.
