My Gallery of Dog Paintings

As a nation, we love our dogs! 

Each dog has a distinctive character and presence which I hope to have captured in paint. I have now painted over 50 dogs, including Poppy, my German Wired-Haired Pointer, and each has challenged my practice. Not only have I tried to portray ‘a moment’ in a dog’s life, but I also have been mindful of the need to apply colour skilfully to add both life and emotional evocation. I would like to thank friends, family and colleagues who have together allowed me to paint such an assortment of dogs.
